'This is a bird you will find on the west coast at the edges of Strangehollow. It has a large, powerful beak with hard bony points down the centre front of the beak which it uses to break open its favourite food, molluscs and other hard-shelled sea creatures.'

Illustration for my book Secrets Of Strangehollow.

Painted using Daniel Smith watercolours

Dimensions of matting: 35.3 x 43 cm - Actual painting dimensions: 21.3 x 29 cm - on Langton illustration board.
