F.A.Q.

Q: Do you take commissions?

A: I am currently only taking small commissions via my membership Mysterious Corner.

Q: Are you taking on client work?

A: I am not currently taking on client work. However if you have a project you think my style would be perfect for, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Q: What materials do you use?

A: I have a blog post with all the answers you are looking for HERE

Q: Do I own the rights to a painting or print when I purchase it?

A: I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original artwork.   I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL OR PARTIAL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (this is in addition to purchasing the original).

The Collector/buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I would like to be credited.

When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be reproduced without my written permission.

Q. Do you have payment plans?

A: Yes I do! Four month spread payment maximum. Please use the email link at the bottom of the page to contact me. They are only available for paintings of £500 and upwards and any down payment is non refundable since I remove the painting from the website once the plan has begun.

Q. Do you have any tips on running a Kickstarter?

A: Yes! I even wrote a blog post about it HERE

Q. Do you offer framing?

A: As a rule I rarely get my artwork framed to sell. The reason for this is to keep the costs down with shipping (and it's safer to ship without the glass). However, if you would like me to organise this, please get in touch and I can choose a beautiful frame for your artwork. Please note that if you choose a framing option then it can take up to 3 weeks extra (I do not frame myself but use a local craftsperson) for me to ship out.

Q. Are your prints lightfast?

A: All prints are archival/giclee quality, with lightfast inks printed on 315gsm smooth white paper. The reproductions are as close to the original as you can get! Ideal if you are not able to afford an original just yet.

Q. How often do you ship?

Currently I only visit the post office once a week, usually a Monday.

Q: How do you ship your prints?

A: All prints A4 size and smaller are shipped flat using a rigid recycled cardboard mailer. All A3 prints are rolled (very loosely) and shipped in a triangular tube. This makes it far less likely for them to be damaged in transit. Be very careful when handling prints, make sure to have clean hands and unroll gently. The paper will relax overnight, or you can take it straight to the framer in the tube and once framed it will be all flat and happy!

Q: How do you ship original art?

A: All originals are packaged in either compostable bags, glassine paper or tissue paper and sandwiched between several layers of card which is then reinforced if necessary (depending on size) on the outside. Smaller originals will be sent in a shallow box mailer, reinforced with card if necessary.

Q: Are you able to take returns?

A: Unfortunately I am not able to at this time, all prints are made to order.

If your item arrives damaged or something is missing from your shipment please contact me as soon as possible so I can help resolve the issue.
